At the Diamond Creek Fair we are featuring “Billy Cart Trials”, which will take place before the Grand Parade.

Over the years many people have asked why we couldn’t include billy cart trials on the day of the town fair, and seeing that we have a natural slope in our main road through Diamond Creek, we thought it deserved a go.

A 200 meter course will be set out, starting at the Chute Street bend and finishing at the bridge.

It will start at 9AM and has to be finished by 10 AM, when the Parade starts.

There are four categories.

The first is the Corporate trial, in which three local businesses will compete against each other for the honours of being the quickest, or most original or even the craziest.

The next three categories are age groups, so we really hope to get enough entrees to hold some great trials.
